Friday’s child is said to be giving… perhaps Bernie thought he was?

As per request, here is my rectification of Bernard Madoff. I believe using western and eastern methods that he was born at 6:30 a.m., Bronx, NY. This gives him a 18 Taurus rising.  It is interesting that 18 Taurus places his rising sign in the Lunar mansion, Barani, which is said to be an empty cup. Certainly, for those who invested with him, his cup only appeared to runneth over. Again, this is a rectification, so therefore, it is subject to change if some intrepid astro-sleuth has any friends in birth records in Albany, who can get a birth certificate, please let me know.

First the western, since the bulk of our astrological readers are of the western tropical variety.

Bernard Madoff is best known as a financier, who ran off with a bundle. I chose Taurus, because of its obvious connection to money.  Notice, his all important, Ikodespotis, or ruling planet will be Venus. She is also in Taurus, and in the vital first house. This gives Bernie both a strong constitution, and lucky with money.  Venus is the charmer of the zodiac.  It was said that Bernie is above all, very polite, low key and very engaging.  In the words of the great, late, T. Pat Davis, who upon reflecting on being bilked by one, pointed out that most con-men will have one thing in common, their charm. This is how they are able to reel us little fishies in.

Notice, that funny looking thing that looks like a hangman’s noose, perched right smack next to Bernie’s Venus?  This little entity should be called, ‘a sucker is born every day,’   but instead it is referred in the west as the South Node. Neptune generally gets all the credit for sneakiness, but the South Node, is so slippery it has more aliases than a fugitive on the run. It also goes by the names, the Dragon’s tail, Cauda, and Ketu in the east. Astrologers will often direct the parents of children to carefully guide their moral education. People with important personal planets conjoined to the South Node, if not properly grounded in the philosophy of karma, can easily be led into a life of deception. In this case, the Ketu connection in Madoff’s chart, also denotes that a lot of his money came from spiritual and religious organizations.

Ruhama tells me, “This is the thing, though. The way Madoff worked was there were a million different streams that ran into his pool, and this was one of them. In other words, the X fund was *invested* with Madoff.  His other prey was charitable organizations.  My querent was assoicated with one such, which had its endowment invested in the X fund, and when the X fund was liquidated a few months later (end of 2007) the endowment was reinvested in the Y fund (recommended by the X fund manager) — another Madoff tributary. So Madoff worked through, or with, a number of different independent fund managers.
Anyway.   Individuals who wanted to support the charitable organization were encouraged to invest their individual savings in the X fund (and later in the Y fund).  A percentage of their returns (I think 10%) was taken off the top and donated to the organization — so it was a relatively painless way to tithe. Of course, the trustees of the organization feel terrible — not only about being burned themselves but by encouraging others to invest.”

It was not only the obvious Taurus ‘midas touch’ for that led me  to choose a time of 6:30 a.m., for Madoff, but it also places four planets in the 12^th house, in addition to the Part of Fortune. As we know, the  12^th house is the house of self undoing and prisons. Bernie probably thought he could get away with it, but he was only fooling himself, and unless he winds up like Kenneth Lay, his home will be a prison cell.  At the time of his arrest, his progressed Ascendant sits on his progressed Pluto, and receives the partile square from Mercury who is in charge of his money. If this was not enough, the axe had to fall. We see Madoff’s progressed Midheaven is now approaching natal on Saturn.  This will probably perfect at the trial. As of this writing, Madoff is still out on $10,000,000.00 bail. Prison will be hard on the man who had everything and everybody under his thumb. If I am correct in my rectification, authorities will be advised to keep a protective eye on him, given his astrological map, he might be a danger to himself.
