Heads Up!
June 2014
Happy Sunny June, starting on Sunday with the Moon entering Leo. Make it a golden month and keep it shining. It goes fast.
Wed June 4 the Moon is void of course in Leo when Venus sextiles Neptune. Inspiring dreams! An hour later the Moon enters Virgo and we can get down to work. The Moon sextiles Mercury in the afternoon. Keep those words flowing. Late that night, the Moon opposes Neptune. Why second-guess a dream? We’re getting a month of Wednesdays with the Moon in mutable signs. If it’s hard to keep yourself nailed down to specific duties and assignments, it may not always be your fault. Do your best anyway.
Fri June 6 the Moon sextiles Jupiter and goes void of course until that evening when the Moon finally enters Libra. It can be a pleasant and productive weekend. More significantly, today is the last day with Mercury direct. A profoundly slowly moving Mercury (in Cancer) will go stationary retrograde tomorrow. Batten down the hatches, safeguard those electronic communication devices, maybe make checklists. Relax, relax.
Sat June 07 the Moon is in Libra all day, and good thing. Mercury goes stationary retrograde in the morning. Don’t be reluctant to say things twice. Twelve hours later, the Moon conjuncts Mars. Take care. You may want to stomp on the gas pedal even if you don’t know where you’re going. Heads Up.
Mon June 9 the Moon is in Scorpio all day, always an extra touch of intense. Neptune goes stationary retrograde this afternoon. Fantasies and dreams may be intense but more difficult to express.
Tue June 10 the Moon conjuncts Saturn in Scorpio. Fix something, even a small something, and feel good. That evening, the Moon trines Jupiter and goes void of course. It’s okay to lighten up a bit.
Wed June 11 the Moon is in Sagittarius all day. Submit things. Write more. Submit more things. Be optimistic about it all.
Thu June 11 Venus opposes Saturn in the late evening, and two whole minutes later we have the Full Moon at 22 Sag. These are two powerful (and very different) oppositions. Have big feelings, even if you’re restricted to little words. There’s power there, too.
Sat June 14 the very busy Moon revisits what’s left of the spring’s Cardinal Cross. First, Mars squares Pluto in the morning. Heads Up, and don’t wake up angry. Tea sometimes helps. An hour later, the Moon joins in and conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. Heads Up. Take a deep breath and visualize feeling secure. Two minutes after that, the Moon opposes Mars. Did I say Heads Up? Heads Up again. Go ahead and be active, but don’t be hyper, and drive carefully. You don’t have to be the one with road rage for trouble to find you. Five hours later, the Moon squares Uranus. Heads Up. Life is full of surprises, anyway, isn’t it? In the evening, the Moon mercifully trines Venus. Got a favorite song? Listen to it. Before end of day, the Moon opposes Jupiter and goes void of course. You’ve been luckier than you may feel. I hope you’re having a good if busy weekend. Tomorrow should be calmer.
Tue June 17 Mercury retrograde (remember that?) slides backwards out of Cancer and reenters his home sign Gemini. You can do some of your best editing now. In the afternoon, the Moon trines Mercury retrograde and goes void of course for nineteen whole minutes, until the Moon enters Pisces. If feelings get confused, take notes.
Wed June 18 the Moon conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. Explore and rethink some of those fictional emotional issues. If emotions remain scrambled in the real world, have a cup of tea.
Thu June 19 the Moon squares Mercury retrograde and goes void of course for a couple of hours. People may be a bother, but you don’t have to entertain them all. An hour and a half later, the Sun conjuncts Mercury retrograde. Go have another cup of tea and let your thoughts settle.
Fri June 20 the Moon conjuncts Uranus in Aries. Go ahead and shock somebody. It’s also the last day of the month that the Sun spends in the sign of Gemini. If you’re on a reading or writing (or talking) bash, don’t be surprised. Tomorrow the world will be more tactile, sensuous, emotional, yummy, and clingy.
Sat June 21 is the Summer Solstice when the Sun enters Cancer and begins summer in the northern hemisphere (and winter in the south). Do an ingress chart and see what your next three months might be like. The Moon is void of course in Aries, in case you’d like a touch more fire to the day. Late afternoon, the Moon sextiles Mercury retrograde. Edit, rethink, listen again, edit.
Mon June 23 the Moon is in Taurus when Venus changes signs, leaves her home Taurus and enters Gemini. Venus is now a guest in Mercury’s house. Write with extra love and delicacy. Write a little faster but still carefully. Enjoy it more.
Tue June 24 the Moon enters Gemini. If you need an excuse to read and/or write with abandon, here it is. Two hours later the Moon conjuncts Venus in Gemini. You and your work are as pretty as you feel. We get to enjoy the Moon in Gemini from today until midday Thursday. Do good things with it.
Wed June 25 the Moon is in Gemini all day. So write. In the extremely early morning, Mars opposes Uranus. Sleep through it, but don’t lose any explosive fresh ideas. Heads Up. Afternoon, the Moon sextiles Uranus. Maybe remember something outrageous and useful. Seventeen minutes later, the Moon trines Mars. Heads Up in a good way. If making tea, don’t burn yourself. Maybe now you’re actually ready to write.
Thu June 26 the Moon conjuncts Mercury retrograde and goes void of course in Gemini. It’s also the day before the New Moon. The day before a new moon during a Mercury retrograde period always deserves a little extra respect. Heads Up. How’s the oil in your car, and the air in your tires? Do you know where your smartphone is?
Fri June 27 we have the New Moon at 05Can. Make this a month to benefit home, hearth, and heart. In the afternoon, the Moon opposes Uranus. Heads Up for a weekend of wild craziness. Be prepared to accidentally offend at least one person.
Sat June 28 the Moon conjuncts Jupiter in Cancer. This could spell summer fun, barbeque, a parade, all sorts of homey heartfelt stuff. It doesn’t have to get mushy, but sometimes mushy is fun.
In all, it’s a bright, energetic, supportive kind of month. If you find any dragons lurking around any corners, they might be ones you stashed there yourself and just forgot. Mercury is still retrograde but moving extremely slowly, preparing to station and go direct on July 2. Argue with that. Summer is here in all its glory, and you can soak up the sun and distill it into words. Only a writer can pull off that kind of magic. Go for it! Have a spectacularly productive and prolific month! Reward yourself and have some fun, too. Heads Up!
