Tue Feb 23 the Moon is still in Gemini when the Sun sextiles Pluto. There are some changes that just need to be made, and there are gracious ways of making them. Then the Moon enters Cancer. Everything seems to hit closer to home. You do not have to spill coffee on your desk. Wed
Feb 24 the Moon is in Cancer, but, as always, it reaches out and touches someone, lots of someones. Today the Moon trines the Sun (self-confidence improves), then the Moon trines Jupiter (give if not also get some good luck), then the Moon trines Venus (adds a touch of charm to everything—-so appreciate it). That’s a lot of gentle touches. Stay concentrated on your work, but Heads Up in a good way.
Thu Feb 25 the Moon conjuncts Mars retrograde in Leo. Heads Up. Channel this away from anger and into being a little nobler in the daily routine. Be willing to cheerfully do something that someone else won’t. Worse case, hole up and write like a demon.
Sat Feb 27 the Moon is still in Leo when Mercury conjuncts Neptune. Magic can happen today. Make it beneficent magic, because before midnight, the Moon opposes Neptune, then Mercury, and all plots and scheming may be revealed. (This might be a useful scenario in the writing of a fantasy novel.)
Sun Feb 28 the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. Contemplate general good luck. About five hours later, the Moon opposes Jupiter. Consider that something lucky may have happened but you’ve overlooked it. Let the Moon shine its light on whatever good is available to you. Eighteen whole minutes later comes the Full Moon at 09Vir. Patiently perfect the many small things that are nonetheless important to you. This is heady stuff on which to end the month. Heads Up for sure. The month ending on a Full Moon is quite a gift. It’s a brilliance to be taken into the coming month. Be brilliant, too, full of plans and projects for the future, and full of energy for the present. Be a light that shines for everyone. Writers work hard with passion and deserve to be heard and read. This means you! Have a stunning month. Heads Up! *********

February 2010 Happy February! We begin on a Monday (the Moon’s day), with the Moon in Virgo. This might be a good month to be low-key and low-profile. Work on the small stuff, heavens knows there’s a lot of it. Mars and Saturn, the two malefics, are both retrograde all month long. That does not mean that danger has gone underground.
Tue Feb 02 is not only Groundhog Day, but also Candlemas. Light is returning the world, at least in the northern hemisphere. Days are getting longer. The Moon is in Libra, where it conjuncts Saturn retrograde, squares Pluto, and sextiles Mars. Take extra care with people, character development, and possible plot conflicts. Mars provides the energy for this and more. Heads Up all day.
Wed Feb 03 the Moon is in Libra, starting a month of the Moon in cardinal signs on Wednesdays. Writers can work with this. It’s also a day of lunar trines — Moon trine Sun, then Moon trine Venus. It will be easy to work on heroic, bright, beautiful things. Use that latecoming Moon square Mercury as a boost to your critical faculties, and improve something.
Sat Feb 06 the Moon is in Scorpio when Mercury sextiles Uranus. Oddball ideas abound. The Moon sextiles Mercury six hours later, putting a lid on most of the craziness. Three hours after that, Jupiter sextiles Pluto. None of that craziness has to manifest (except in fiction, if you so choose). Finally, the Moon enters Sagittarius. Ideas continue, in a big way.
Sun Feb 07 the Moon is in Sagittarius when Venus conjuncts Neptune. Some meditations are best shared, sometimes by large groups.
Wed Feb 10 the Moon is in Capricorn when Mercury changes signs and enters Aquarius. Bigger subjects become interesting, and there is plenty of desire to pursue them.
Thu Feb 11 the Moon is still in Capricorn when Venus changes signs and enters Pisces, where she is much happier. Listen to some favorite music today, and be inspired all over again. Venus is just flying through the sky. The Moon then enters Aquarius, and conjuncts Mercury. People are so full of surprises, we’ll never run out of material to write about.
Fri Feb 12 the Moon is in Aquarius when Mercury trines Saturn retrograde. Being careful and constructively critical can be easy. Try it. It’s also the day before the New Moon. Heads Up.
Sat Feb 13 Mercury opposes Mars retrograde in the teeny tiny hours. Even if you have dreams of dissatisfaction, wake up resolved to not nitpick about it. In the evening we have the New Moon in 25Aqu. Begin something for the benefit of someone else. An hour and a half later, the Moon conjuncts Neptune. Prepare to dream deeply.
Sun Feb 14 the Moon conjuncts Venus in Pisces. A lot of the beautiful things in life are hidden. Afternoon, the Sun conjuncts Neptune at 15Aqu, pretty darn close to the site of yesterday’s New Moon. Heads Up. This can be the most spiritual day of the year, or the most deluded and escapist. Two hours later, now the Moon conjuncts Jupiter. Whatever you’ve decided on today, it’s about to be magnified. Before midnight, though comes the salve that is Venus sextile Pluto. Forgive and be forgiven. Heads Up all day. It’s also the start of the Chinese Year of the Tiger. Keep those claws sharp, and that roar at the ready. It’s great to be able to surprise people, especially when they deserve it. More Heads Up.
Mon Feb 15 the Moon is in Pisces when Mars retrograde sextiles Saturn retrograde. Contrive to do something agreeable with this. There’s lot of energy for editing changes to make that project more appealing to the masses.
Tue Feb 16 is Mardi Gras. Let the good times roll. The Moon conjuncts Uranus in the early morning. Be ready for a day of small surprises. Twelve hours later, Venus conjuncts Jupiter, in Pisces. Do something realistic and practical with this burst of serious good luck, and don’t fritter it away on pap and pleasantness. Bless the world with some beautiful, soulful work. Someone has to do it. Wed
Feb 17 the Moon is in Aries all day. Self-motivation is at its peak, necessary for every writer. It’s the Sun’s last day in Aquarius. Be aware that this is the Sun’s final burst and dying gasp of intellectual love of humanity. Tomorrow comes Pisces, with all the personal involvement of one-on-one. Be emotionally prepared. Don’t let this seep into your feelings for your work, although maybe a wayward character can use it. Heads Up.
Thu Feb 18 the Moon is in Aries when the Sun moves on and enters the sign of Pisces. This does not have to be an emotional ooey-gooey month. It can be a month of deeper insights to the ongoing drama of what it means to be human. Write with extra compassion.
Sun Feb 21 the Moon enters the sign of Gemini. We have from this morning unto Wed afternoon to produce some of our finest work, if only we can keep the chatter under control. Sharpen those pencils, open a new ream of paper, maybe get yourself an extra memory stick.
Wed
