Head's Up!

November may start out stormy in Scorpio, but it ends on a bright note with Sagittarius.  You can progress in the same way.  The dark and the light are both required, especially for that twilight in which a lot of us writers do our thing.  Have a powerful, strongly rooted and brilliantly productive month!  Heads up!

November starts on a Sunday.  Daylight Savings Time has ended at last and Standard Time resumes.  The Sun doesn’t care what we do with our clocks and continues to shine on apparent local time.  The Moon has barely entered Taurus when six minutes later Mercury squares Mars.  Too much perseverance or hard-headedness is never a good thing (except in antagonists or other characters who will not learn a certain lesson).

Mon Nov 02 the Moon opposes Mercury.  Take a good look at your work…a spotlight is shining on it.  Three hours later we have the Full Moon at 10Tau.  A certain amount of perseverance and self-confidence is necessary.

Tue Nov 03 the Moon enters Gemini.  Keep your wits about you and be prolific over the next three days.

Wed Nov 04 the Moon is in Gemini all day.  Focus on that aspect of your work that needs to be finished, and pour your energy there.  Neptune goes stationary direct, leaving only one retrograde planet.  It’s a day for things to move forward.

Thu Nov 05 the Moon is in Gemini when the Sun conjuncts Mercury.  This allows for a flash of inspiration or insight.  Enjoy this last full of day of Gemini energy, even if it’s a prolonged but pleasant phone conversation.

Sat Nov 07 the Moon is void of course in Cancer when Venus changes signs and enters Scorpio.  Heads up all day.  Beauty and art reveal a serious side.  Psychic energy can be vastly serious, too.  It’s also the day when the Sun moves to 16Sco and leaves the Via Combusta.  Things might not lighten up much, but the consequences for infractions might become less severe. Heads up anyway.

Sun Nov 08 the Moon is in Leo when Mercury squares Jupiter.  Big ideas present themselves in abundance, and sometimes clash and compete with one another.  Later, the Moon conjuncts Mars.  Be gentle, but don’t hesitate to prune away any hindrance or obstacle to your work.

Wed Nov 11 the Moon is in Virgo.  It’s a good day to take care of details.  Mercury trines Uranus retrograde.  Some clever plot twist or overlooked idea may prove useful.  Later Mercury squares Neptune. Inspiration is always good; delusion, rarely.  It’s Armistice Day.  Wage Peace.

Thu Nov 12 the Moon conjuncts Saturn in Libra.  Deal appropriately with relationships, especially between your characters.  It only makes for a tighter, more satisfying story.

Sun Nov 15 the Moon is in Scorpio all day for this, the day before the New Moon.  Heads Up.  Be serious (but not grim).  Be aware that the universe may be operating with negative slack.   Saturn squares Pluto today.  Any misstep or infraction might draw down an exaggerated punishment.  We don’t have to go there.  The Moon conjuncts Venus. Despite the harshness of the world, there are still people who love us and things that shine.  The Sun squares Neptune.  Character takes a dim view of the spiritual.  Heads up.  Will it never end?  Yes!  Mercury changes signs and enters Sagittarius.  You may not be able to express it just yet, but you can already feel the mind expanding.

Mon Nov 16 is the New Moon at 24 Sco.  Something deep and almost invisible may be starting.  That night, Mercury sextiles Saturn.  Rather than being hypercritical, see if you can cultivate sharper powers of observation.

Tue Nov 17 the Moon conjuncts Mercury in Sagittarius.  It’s a good day to share or commiserate with kindred spirits about even the biggest issues.  Try to keep it low key.

Wed Nov 18 the Moon is in Sagittarius all day.  Your expansive ideas and outlooks may find expression today.  Write big.

Thu Nov 19 the Moon conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn.  Write like it’s work, because it is.

Fri Nov 20 is the Sun’s last day in the sign of Scorpio.  Heads up.  The last degree of anything often packs an extra hard punch.  (Can you tell that I take Scorpio seriously?)

Sat Nov 21 the Moon is in Aquarius when the Sun changes signs and enters Sagittarius.  Let the Sun shine it!

Mon Nov 23 the Moon first conjuncts Jupiter in Aquarius, then conjuncts Neptune in Aquarius.  If the world has been closing in on you, this is a good day to break out of that claustrophobic atmosphere.  Let everything open up around you.

Wed Nov 25 the Moon is in Pisces all day.  Feel what you write, and write what you feel.

Thu Nov 26 the Moon conjuncts Uranus retrograde in Pisces.  Experience some new feeling, and keep it to yourself.  Two hours later Mercury trines Mars.  This is action with deliberation.  Do something constructive and good with it.  It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.  I’m thankful.

Sun Nov 29 the Moon is in Taurus when Mercury sextiles Jupiter.  It’s a minor aspect that can be a major blessing.  Think small scale but prepare for big scale results.  God really is in the details.
