This is not the time to be afraid of retrogrades. Mercury and Jupiter are both retrograde for the first half of the month. For the second half of the month, Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde. Slow down and get more serious about simply doing things right. They don’t have to be right the first time. Stick with it. You’ve got this month. April starts on Sunday, the Sun’s day of the week. However this March is coming in, it’s going out like a lion. Keep your head down, keep working, and don’t let the world punch your buttons, especially in the first week. Then you’ll go out like a lion, too. That’s my plan.

Thu Mar 01 the Moon is in Virgo when Venus trines Jupiter. That’s a happiness-is aspect, so wake up in a good mood and do good work. Plus, Thursday is Jupiter’s day of the week. Think and act big. At 4:51 pm we have the Full Moon at 11 Vir. Heads Up. How practical can you be? Now do it big.

Happy 2018! I mean it. We are the ones who get to make it happy, or not. So let’s go with the happy and have a grand, productive year.

The year starts on a Monday, the Moon’s day, with a Full Moon four hours and twenty-three minutes after perigee, a Super Moon, and a King Tide. Think big, bright, beautiful, and powerful. The Moon can reflect the will of the people, and it’s my wish that we the people will work to take care of ourselves and each other, in the most familial and unselfish of ways. The Sun may be in Capricorn but the Moon is in Cancer.

Mon Jan 01 the Moon in Cancer opposes Saturn, then Venus, then at 6:24 pm opposes the Sun. This gives us the Full Moon at 11 Can. Be as shy or withdrawn as you please but work diligently at what matters most to you. This can be a great lunar month. Twenty-eight minutes later the Moon trines Neptune. This is enough to bring your aspirations back to mind. Later the Moon trines Mars. Sleep well and wake up energized and determined.

Tue Jan 02 the Moon is in Cancer when Uranus goes direct. It’s only been retrograde since August 2, 2017. If you notice (or imagine) an increase in creative wildness, blame it on Uranus.

December, the tenth month since spring, and for most of us the end of the year. Think, and act, like a boxer, and finish strong. The month is packed with Saturn and Capricorn, but there are plenty of other influences. The last Mercury retrograde of the year is in Sagittarius. The Full Moon in Gemini is a supermoon, bright and high in the sky. Buckle up for a month of wild swings high and low. Be happy that we start on a Friday, the day of the week ruled by Venus. Wed Nov 01 the Moon is in Aries all day. A Mercury-Chiron trine should keep you on your toes.

October at last! Summer is really over now (although not hurricane season). We are in the heart of pumpkin season. Earlier efforts may be bearing fruit, and that’s great, but it’s almost secondary to the continuing growth of the work in hand. This can be a very productive month. Stick with it!

Sun Oct 01 the Moon is in Aquarius all day. It’s the Sun’s day of the week. And, we start the month with a Mars-Pluto trine in the earth signs. We can accomplish a lot all month long if we remember to pursue our true passions and be willing to rock the boat if necessary.

Tue Oct 3 the Moon is in Pisces all day and conjoins Neptune at 5:45 am. Wake with dreams that are worth writing about.

Wed Oct 04 the Moon is in Pisces half the day, and in the Aries for the second half. If you dream away the first half, you’ll more than make up for it in the second. (continue reading…)
