Algol over Iran
by Dorothy J. Kovach on Jun.18, 2009, under Algol, Traditional Astrology
There’s a natural mystic
Blowin’ through the air.
If you listen carefully now you will hear
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last.
Many more will have to suffer.
Many more will have to die.
Don’t ask me why.
Things are not the way they used to be
-Bob Marley
Algol is said to make us lose our heads over trivial matters. However, because the Medusa is binary and eclipsed, and sits in the last decante of Taurus, the most patient of signs, she sometimes looks the other way for too long. Then when she finally reacts, well, she can be likened to a pot of water left to boil for too long. First, it patiently bubbles. Then it stammers, steam protruding in all directions. Finally, the last drop of moisture evaporates, and the pot turns red hot, and bursts into flame. And the rest, is history!

The incident happened on Saturday night, when some 70,000 spectators were packed into the Hay Nahda stadium to see Moroccan singer Abdelaziz Stati.

Rep. Ackerman on Madoff fraud

This is not only a good video to see how ineffectual the SEC has become, but also a quick lesson on temperaments. A lot of teachers spend a lot of time, often putting all but those who live on coffee, to sleep with a lot of plus and minus signs, when all they need to is to observe the person. In the following video, we have Congressman Gary Ackerman, who represents the Bayside Queens, New York congressional district. On the surface, he exhibits classical traits the choleric temperament.
Year of the OX
by Dorothy J. Kovach on Jan.31, 2009, under Financial, Forecasts, Traditional Astrology
Welcome year of the Ox. Happy New Year!!
It may be the year of the bull, but will markets listen? The year, 4,707 in the Chinese calendar arrived on Monday, heralding in the year of the ox or cow. To my way of thinking, this is the ‘real’ based upon the lunar calendar. The western calendar, the so called Julian-Gregoian, which starts on January first each year, is but a man made creation. In other words, it is not based upon anything cosmic. I, therefore, much prefer to celebrate this annual beginning instead.
